Problem

While there are plenty of e-commerce apps for grocery shopping and food delivery, there was a noticeable absence of a platform specifically designed for hiring services. Service providers lacked a convenient online space to offer their services. Recognizing this gap in the market, our client conducted thorough research, realizing that addressing this need would not only benefit consumers but also be advantageous for service providers. This identified gap presented an opportunity for the first mover in the market to capture a significant share.

Although there were existing websites where people could sell various items, including services, there was a lack of a dedicated platform designed for easy service offerings. The client saw the potential to fill this void and create a specialized platform for service providers.

Solution

Upon receiving the project at The Codex Studios, our team immediately delved into enhancing the concept for further development. After brainstorming various name ideas, "Handy Nearby" was chosen, a name that resonated well with the client. Extensive research was then conducted to establish an optimal app flow and design, ensuring user-friendly profile creation and service selling.

The goal was to create a platform accommodating a diverse range of service providers. The app was enriched with numerous features benefiting both consumers and service providers, including the incorporation of categories to facilitate easy service provider discovery.

App Development Process
